What do I need to bring?

Click here for our "What to Pack" list Feel free to bring your own snacks, favorite coffee and beer. Remember lunch is not provided unless requested/communicated by you. If you decide you will want lunch, there are dozens of options in Prattville, which is less than 10 minutes away, or feel free to bring your own bread and deli meat. *If you plan to take home the meat from your kill, please bring a cooler. DON'T FORGET YOUR GUN/BOW
Am I guaranteed a deer?

While we do our very best to put you in the best spot to have a successful hunt, we do not guarantee a deer. Though the deer on our property are plentuous, this is a fair game hunt.
I am not a fan of heights. Do you have any ground blinds?

YES! We have many differernt types of hunting stands so as to best fit your needs. When booking a hunt be sure to fill out our Hunter Profile Sheet found here so that we can best accommadate your needs.
Is there a place to check the sights on my gun?

YES! Directly behind the lodge is a 125 yard range to sight your rifle. Targets, table, chair, and lead sled are available.
Is alcohol allowed on property?

Of course. The only thing better than enjoying a cold beer after a day in the woods is enjoying a cold beer after a successful hunt! There will be NO drinking and operating of any kind of motorized vehicles on property, nor drinking in deer stands. Be sure to review our Gun Island Outdoors rules.
Where can I purchase an Alabama hunting license?

A license to hunt in Alabama can be purchased here or at any local sporting goods store. There is a Bass Pro Shop, Walmart, and Academy Sports & Outdoors located 10 minutes from the property.
